Art of Public Speaking:
Food is AmusingFood can be very amusing. Proper preparation of food is an art form, and in the art of public speaking, food can be used to make a point or to add humor, when properly introduced. I heard a comic many years ago say 'Life is a Twinkie.' When there is no other way to explain some office calamity I say, 'I guess life is just a Twinkie.' I laugh off the tension, then I seriously take care of the problem.
There are lots of other amusing foods like chicken soup, meatballs and Bill Cosby's favorite, Jello pudding. If you majored in philosophy, you might find deep meaning in the Twinkie line. However, most of the rest of us would agree that the line was pure nonsense. This kind of art of public speaking wordplay can do wonders to jazz up a public speaking engagement, and that ain't chopped liver.
